Meet Angel Macauley of Femme Fatale Intimates in Downtown Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Macauley.

Angel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a Computer Science Major, I started Femme Fatale Intimates in 2012 as an online-only store selling lingerie and swimwear. Being a native in Denver, I knew what was missing and so I opened a very small 400 square foot location in Arvada in 2017 and remained there until it was time to move into a bigger space. Now more than double the size, I have an 850 square foot storefront in the heart of downtown Denver located on S. Broadway. Sourcing merchandise from a variety of distributors from the Los Angeles fashion district to Miami, the store features a private label called Vamp Bikinis. The swimsuits have been featured in the 2012 and 2013 Denver Bronco Cheerleader Bikini Calendars and have showcased at Denver Fashion Week for the past three years.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being a single mom, I had to work night jobs to support my son while also working my online business during the day. It’s been a struggle trying to figure out my business with plenty of mistakes and failures. Being an entrepreneur is not always an easy road. Since 2012, I’ve overcome many obstacles and feel like I finally figured out my business model and where I need to be successful.

Femme Fatale Intimates offers the newest styles bringing LA and Miami styles of lingerie, swimwear, accessories and more using the finest quality fabrics so all women feel confident in their own skin. Our motive is to help assist any and all women in finding the perfect fit for all body types. With more styles offered online, we take special orders with care and attention.

My passion for swimwear and lingerie is timeless and I love to personally guide and help every customer bring out their inner Femme Fatale.

As a Denver native, we know what Denver doesn’t have, and we know no one in Denver sells what we carry in our swimwear – scrunch bottoms and sexy swimwear for a reasonable price.
