Meet Brandi Kwesell of The Day On Location Beauty in Colorado Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Kwesell.

Brandi, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey began as a hairstylist. Around ten years into my career is when I decided to start The Day On Location Beauty. I have always had a passion for bridal hair and had built a great reputation for myself in the bridal industry. I realized I wanted to offer brides the full bridal beauty experience by providing both hair and makeup. I wanted to offer a “one-stop-shop” for their special day.

Through working in the beauty industry I knew other stylists and makeup artists that had the experience and talent that is necessary to be a bridal beauty specialist. It was very important for me to choose professionals that I was 100% confident in. We started as a team of three in the first year of business. Over the past three years, we have grown into a team of seven and our company can service multiple weddings on the same day.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In business ownership, there are always challenges and it has been a continuous learning experience for me. I try to embrace the challenges because I know in the end I am overcoming obstacles that make my business stronger.

To be completely honest, one of my bigger struggles along the way has been believing in myself. Do I have what it takes to run a business? The answer is yes, but I didn’t always know that. Once I did truly believe that I was capable, and I do have what it takes is when The Day took off. Now there is no looking back, and that is a great feeling.

Tell us more about your business.
The Day On Location Beauty offers on-site hairstyling and makeup services for brides and wedding parties. We are a team of licensed professionals dedicated to making our brides look and feel beautiful for one of the most memorable days of their life.

We specialize in enhancing a bride’s natural beauty. One very important aspect of our work is the communication we have with our brides to achieve their perfect bridal look. We encourage open communication and a step by step trail appointment to ensure they love the result. For us, the most important thing is that each bride walks down the aisle feeling more beautiful than ever before.

We are known for our amazing reviews. I hear all the time that our reviews are what helped choose to hire us. I think this is a reflection of the relationships we build with each lady individually.

As a company, I am most proud of our professionalism. It is so important to me that our brides have a great experience from the initial inquiry through her planning process. It is not just about the beauty services being provided, that is the fun part. It is about every bride feeling confident in her choice to hire us as a wedding vendor.

As the business owner, I am most proud of the team of stylists and makeup artists that work at The Day. These ladies are beyond talented in their trade. It is a great honor to work alongside them.

Our experience sets us apart from the bunch. Each one of the stylists on our team has at least five years of experience and we love what we do. When you combine all the talent, passion and years of experience, I would say we are leaders in the bridal beauty industry.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I feel lucky in a lot of different aspects of my life, but I just don’t think luck has anything to do with business. For me, it is about wanting it and taking the steps to make it happen.
