Meet Alex Stewart of Mythic Rogue in Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Stewart.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I first discovered the concept of Dj’ing music at a music festival I was visiting in Texas back in 2016. I picked it up as a hobby, and soon it took over my entire life. One day, a great friend of mine, SebSol, approached me and offered to teach me how to take my music to the next level. We went to Guitar Center, I traded in my Fender Stratocaster, and I came home with my first Dj controller.

I began spending endless hours mixing tracks from all genres and trying to find creative, new ways to hear songs that I’ve heard a million times. Soon after, I began meeting a lot of local music producers in Denver which pushed me to begin producing my own music. My friends and family have always been a giant source of inspiration for me.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path to today has been less than glamorous, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I learn so much from my mistakes and failures. One of my biggest obstacles is self-doubt, and I constantly over criticize my own work. Sometimes it can be challenging to push through that, but at the end of the day music is my purest form of expression. I just put it all out there, happiness, sadness, love, and pain. It’s all fuel that heals and keeps me creating.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Mythic Rogue – what should we know?
Mythic Rogue is my first solo art venture. My intention is to share frequencies that speak to others, and help them through a struggle in their life that they may be dealing with. Music is the universal language that speaks to us all, and I want to spread a positive message.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Perseverance

I’ll always be creating art to the best of my ability, and sharing it with the world. Going with the flow, and creating something organic is the best way to resonate with yourself as well as others.
