Meet Chelsea Stewart and Amber Haschenburger of The She Operation in Westminster

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Stewart and Amber Haschenburger.

Chelsea and Amber, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hi there! My name is Chelsea Stewart and I started working with the founder of The She Operation (The She Op, She Op) in 2017 in sales when I absolutely fell in love with the business. I worked styling, merchandising, and selling brands and ideas that I not only love but believe in.

Sadly, I moved away to Nashville, but not for long as my need to be in Denver and be back with a company I love was running deep! During this stint away, I continued to follow the brand and the truck as I was totally smitten and still obsessed with the brand and idea of where it could go; which was also when I was informed that The She Operation was sold to Amber Haschenburger.

Shortly after moving back to Colorado I reached out to Amber, and due to stars aligning and right timing, I began to work as the creative and marketing director for the brand. It was soon after making this transition into my newfound role with The She Op that I knew I needed more. I knew I HAD to make She Op my life. I knew I could make The She Op Denver’s go-to athleisure boutique and I knew I had to be an owner and partner. I presented all of my ideas to Amber and she was 100% on board.

The She Operation is not only a mobile studio to streetwear boutique, but it is a lifestyle, a way of living. This SHE lifestyle is one that I embody every day as I am a cycle and pilates instructor, so I am SHE’s exact client. I am in the studio every day and I see what women want, what they feel confident in, what they feel badass in. I have acquired She Op not only as a business but as my life. It is a way to fully feel badass, to feel strong, to feel confident, to feel independent…it’s the power of SHE!

Has it been a smooth road?
The road to being a partner and soon sole owner of The She Operation has been anything but smooth. When you start a business of any sort there are more challenges than victories. So it is in these victories (even the small ones) that you have to celebrate and stand on.

When I FIRST started with SHE in 2017 I had to ensure that I was hitting sales quotas and goals when we were in an area of Denver that was untapped in the athleisure space. We had to prove our worth, our culture, and our vibe. This was a struggle, but with belief and passion comes success and success we found. However, I moved to Nashville shortly after.

While I was away She not only went through the transition of ownership but of identity. She was now a part of a VERY popular retail category, athleisure. So it was a constant battle of again, proving our worth, our “SHEicness”, our vibe. And frankly, it was an uphill battle because you know, life happens.

Fortunately, stars aligned and Amber and I put our SHE power together and began building up the brand that we know The She Operation can and will grow in to. So as 2020 approaches, SHE is on an uphill trajectory and has amazing events, popups, and ideas on tap. SHE is going to be all of Denver and is something I cannot wait to share with ALL women who want to feel good, look good, and embrace their inner SHE badass.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The She Operation story. Tell us more about the business.
The She Operation is a mobile studio to streetwear boutique. She provides top of the line athleisure pieces from bras, to leggings, to cozy and unique jackets. Every piece She carries is hand-selected to represent the overall vibe that She strives to be. Each brand we carry is unique and we pride ourselves on picking brands that are not typically seen in-store or studio.

The She Operation carries styles for all women and we pride ourselves on selecting pieces that are curated to make every woman feel confident and badass. What sets SHE apart is the fact that we carry unique brands that women not only look great in but feel great in and every item is specifically picked to be worn from the studio to the street with layers and texture.

We are most proud of the lessons we have learned that come from starting a business. From creating an invoice to buying new brands, to working with vendors. We have made leaps and bounds and just know that a piece from The She Operation will be in every woman’s closet!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The next 5-10 years are going to be huge for The She Operation, we are tapping into the e-commerce space and hope to have every woman talking about The She Operation and how it has made them feel their best self and is a necessary part of their daily wardrobe.

In the next few years, we hope to have The She truck at events and popups that fully align with our brand and vision. We are continuing to grow and excited to see where these next few years take SHE. All I know is that big things are coming!
