Thanks for sharing your story with us David. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my journey in the events industry in Nebraska back in college. I worked as an intern at a concert venue where I was responsible for promoting events via photos and videos. I’ve always loved watching productions come together. Nowadays I connect with customers for a variety of events including weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
When it comes to the events industry, success boils down to the preparation that is done on the front end. One of my favorite parts of my job is that no matter what processes are in place, every event is unique and comes with its own set of challenges. Being flexible and regularly communicating with our clients has really helped us stay ahead of some of the challenges that come our way.

Please tell us about Gallery 1874.
Gallery 1874, a venue located in Arvada, Colorado, has seamlessly melded historic touches with modern twists. Situated in Olde Town Arvada, this historic venue was originally built back in 1874. Carmen and Mark Sample, the owners of this quaint venue, have fully restored this building and brightened it up with vibrant colors and art-lined walls. After its restoration, it now provides a timeless setting for couples to exchange their vows right in the downtown city area.

Facilities and Capacity

The floor plan at Gallery 1874 offers flexibility to meet your party size and needs. Depending on the seating arrangements, the space can accommodate anywhere from 140 people seated all the way up to 220 people standing. There is also a stage so you and your guests can enjoy live music. As you enjoy your corporate event, bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, elopement, or reception in this space, you will be surrounded by elegant touches like hand-painted gold ceilings.

Services Offered

Regardless of the size or style of your event, each of our customers will receive many additions included with their venue rental. They will be able to enjoy main gallery space, tables, chairs, black linens, audio/visual systems, a full-service prep kitchen, an outside patio space and more. There are also two suites on the lower level of Gallery 1874 that can be appointed as a “Bridal Suite” or “Groom’s Lounge” if you would like a separate and private space for larger parties or weddings. While accommodations are not provided on the property, the team will be happy to recommend local accommodations for you and your guests. Other services include:

Customers can select Samples Longmont, Gallery 1874’s preferred caterer, to prepare meals for their event. While their focus is on preparing fresh “comfort eats and craft drinks,” they are more than happy to create a custom menu for you. Other services they can provide include:
