Meet Olivia Merrill of Team Denver Homes and The Denver Look in Denver Metro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Merrill.

Olivia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I moved to Denver, Colorado as an independent young woman at the age of 19. A short year later, I started my career in real estate and quickly elevated my business in just four short years. I joined Team Denver Homes at the end of 2017 and sold over $8 million in sales within my first year. I was awarded the #1 Agent on Social Media in Denver and the 5-star professional award in both 2018 & 2019, as well as the RISMedia Newsmaker Award in 2020. I then went on to launch my fashion and lifestyle blog, The Denver Look.

I am able to provide home sellers & buyers unique advantages in the Real Estate industry due to my brand exposure & my skills in influencer marketing. I have over 20,000 followers across all social media channels & I utilize my following to promote my client’s homes as well as my own business. Additionally, I love to partner with local businesses in and around Denver to create unique events in order to highlight both the community and Real Estate as I believe Real Estate is sold within the community it resides in I am a philanthropist, involved in several local non-profits throughout my community!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
A large struggle was my initial start… I moved here at a young age, right out of high school and I had to find my way on my own. I made mistakes and learned lessons (some big, some small) but it essentially helped develop me into the woman I am today.

I am a firm believer in continued education and have acquired my Certified Negotiations Expert title (CNE) and her Pricing Strategy Advisor designation (PSA) as well as her Accredited Buyers Representative designation (ABR). I was also awarded the Five Star Agent Award in 2018 & 2019 and the #1 Agent on Social Media in Denver in 2018 and 2019, as well as the RISMedia Newsmaker Award in 2020.

I have completely dedicated myself to helping my clients succeed & achieve their biggest goals and I strive to make a difference in their lives by helping them build their wealth through Real Estate. I am also very proud and passionate about my blog & brand, The Denver Look. As I have become more and more involved in the fashion and modeling scene here in Denver I’ve begun to notice. The street-size, body-positive, ”average” woman is often left unattended to in these industries. Who says you have to be a certain size to rock a certain outfit, to shop at a specific store, or to boast a certain style? Being 5’10 with an athletic build, I have really struggled with this issue personally. What about all the gorgeous women out there who are fashion-enthused and perfectly healthy with strong bodies that we love and embrace?

My true vision, with The Denver Look, is to redefine the social norms about size in fashion and to help make all women feel valuable by providing some insight and hopefully some inspiration as well. Lastly, I am very proud of the progress I have made in my modeling career as well… I have worked with several brands both local and national – like Lululemon and Daniel Wellington, Ann Marie Design, Kismet. I have also walked in several runways shows in the Denver area, including Denver Fashion Week Spring and Fall 2019 (pssst… I carried my daughter down the runway in the fall, the first-ever!)

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am looking forward to bringing my first baby into the world this March, a baby girl. I can’t wait to be a career-focused mommy, providing for my daughter and setting an example to her of how strong and capable we are! I’m excited to double my real estate business this year – my goal is to service 30 or more families in the Denver metro area in 2020.
