Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Adams.
Blake, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Denver Flea was started in 2014 and featured 35 vendors at the first market. Now, after over 30 markets hosted all over the city, we now regularly host over 150 vendors. In 2019 we changed the name to Fetch Markets to allow for expansion outside of Denver. In 2019 we also opened a retail store at the Dairy Block development in Downtown Denver. In 2020 we are increasing the number of markets and continuing to run and expanding to Aurora at the Stanley Marketplace.
Has it been a smooth road?
Always tricky trying to stay relevant and offer a product people want. A name change is a difficult transition as was starting another business line – the retail store.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Fetch Markets story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in supporting local and national small businesses. I am most proud of the opportunity we’ve given hundreds of small businesses to reach thousands of consumers in an effort to grow their businesses.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Big shifts, retail and what people want to do in their free time and with their disposable income if changing rapidly. We will need to stay on top of trends to continue to offer a product people want in 5-10 years.
