Meet Mollie Gilligan of Payroll Vault – North Metro Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mollie Gilligan.

Mollie, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The opportunity to own a payroll company was a dream for us. We had both been working in the financial industry for the Payroll Vault home office and sister accounting company when the opportunity for ownership presented itself. We purchased our franchise in 2018 and knew right away we wanted our home to be in Arvada where David grew up and watched his family run a small business for years. With our background, training and education, we knew we had an opportunity to support the small business community that we both grew up knowing and loving.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a great ride so far! We absolutely love working together and are always finding ways to navigate the work/life balance. We have two young children and are always juggling their needs and schedule while actively focusing on how we are able to support small business owners better. There are challenges in any business, especially during the first few years but we have been able to manage and overcome while learning and growing along the way.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Payroll Vault – North Metro Denver – what should we know?
We support small business owners with managing their workforce more efficiently through full-service payroll, tax filing, new hire reporting, compliance, HR, timekeeping and background checks. We offer the best in today’s technology and pride ourselves on having the highest level of customer service. We are very hands-on and like to work with our customers as an extension of their business to help them maintain their workforce while allowing them to focus on their own growth.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Honesty, consistency, reliability and attention to detail. We are live, local and relationship-based. We provide our customers with support when they need it and understand that most industries do not close. Small business owners need to be able to manage their workforce and have their questions answered no matter if it is past 5 p.m. or on a weekend. We are always happy to help no matter the day or time!
