Meet Warner Jackson of The Turner Jackson Agency in RiNo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Warner Jackson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Warner. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out making music! I love to entertain people. When I got out of the Navy, I wanted to chase my dream of being a professional entertainer. My love was really for presentation rather than music. I was rapping all over town and happened to stumble across my now best friend Jeremy Pape. He made videos and digital art. So it was really a match made in heaven. We then created a collective called “Welcome to the D.O.P.E Game”. There were about 12 of us. Then I moved on to making pop music and started a band called “Turner Jackson’s Red Plastic Cup”! I wanted to make people dance, sing and have a good ol fashion time. That went really well for a while. But then I stopped feeling the love for it. So I took a break from music and went back to school. Through doing that, I realized that I could take my creative talents and make entertaining media and events. So I got in producing parties. It was really great watching other people enjoy themselves at my events. Working to create them with friends was also a plus! Now I make funny internet content to help people laugh a little more. But, if I find another way to help people have a good time, my business model with change with it!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all! I feel like I’ve failed a lot. With musical deals not working out the way that I wanted them to. Sometimes money didn’t roll in like we thought it would with parties. Keeping your confidence up while experiencing these setbacks his hard. So I went through a lot of emotional turmoil as well. Chasing my desires while being a father was also not easy. I’m 32 and I have an 11 years old son. Something didn’t allow me to be present like I wanted to.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Turner Jackson Agency – what should we know?
To be honest, I’m the product of my company. My brain is what I’m most proud of. The Turner Jackson Agency is my professional representation of my artistic self. I feel like I’m known for making people feel included. No matter if it’s music, parties, hosting events I want people to feel like they are welcome! Some people seek to have a niche audience, I’ve always wanted the general public to enjoy themselves when part taking in my products!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I’m a very realist person. If something doesn’t work, I have no problem shutting it down and going back to the drawing board. I am emotionally invested but not so much that I would sacrifice my well being and resources to watch my own sinking ship go down. I’m also a survivor, no matter what happens, I always believe I’ll get another shot. If it’s not today, then it’ll be tomorrow. If it’s not exactly what I wanted, then opportunity will come from somewhere I wasn’t expecting. Always getting back to good attitude had been a major key for me.
