Meet Billy Tickle of Billy’sGOAT in North Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Billy Tickle.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Most people in Denver that know me very well call me Goat, I’m originally from De Leon, Texas. I grow up loving to create things with my hands and creating art. I have been in love with Colorado for as long as I can remember so I moved to Denver, Colorado after graduating from high school. My first job was a dishwasher during training for a new bar in Belmar Lakewood, at the time I wanted to become a chef so I worked hard on learning how dishes were prepared and executed. On opening day they ask me to work the grill station and I was nervous but after the first mistake it was pretty easy after that. I later on was asked to become a bar back then shortly after I was a bartender by the time I was 21. I worked for Friday’s (for one year) on Wednesday night being a flair bartender and while working for baker street pub and grill on and off for eight years. By the time I was in my late 20’s I started working for Meadowlark Kitchen creating cocktails and bartending. I really enjoyed making people happy with food and beverages but I felt like I need to do something else so I moved to LA to search for something else. I got this job working for a hair company labeling bottles and making hair and skin products and I fell in love with it.

Shortly after I moved back to Denver to work on something of my own. I wanted to do something that was for me, something that made me happy but also something that I could do to make others happy. I had a friend dealing with anxiety really bad and at the time, I was learning a lot about CBD so I asked him if I could make a topical for him that contained CBD. He agreed so I made him “At Peace 200 mg ball roller what’s now my first product. The results were amazing so I made more of them and later on, I realized that this could be something for me to try to do as a company. Ive had so much support, loving, and caring friends from Denver they are pretty much family to me and I believe if it wasn’t for them believing in me and encouraging me to drive myself that it would have been a lot harder to be where I’m at today.

Has it been a smooth road?
If I said, it was easy that would be a lie. It was one of the hardest challenges that I’ve have had. I worked on my company and products for almost two years. I would say the hardest thing was figuring out was the name of my company but after sitting down with my friend Oren who is super talented person we were able to come up with Billy’sGOAT the goat in an acronym for GREATEST OF ALL TOPICALS. I didn’t want my name in it but it just sounded way too good to say no.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Billy’sGOAT story. Tell us more about the business.
Billy’sGOAT is a CBD isolate topical company. I handcraft every single product myself to ensure that each product has the correct amount of CBD, I can’t say that I’m really known for anything right now as a company but I hope in the future that I will be known for having an honest driven company. I’m not sure what sets me apart from others but I promise to always be honest with my products and to always try to create something that costumers can trust and be happy by choosing to go through me.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I would like to be able to quit working for others and just work for myself. I hope to see it rise to the top of the CBD field.
