Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Atencio.
Hi Cheryl, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I originally came to Colorado Springs in 1997 moved here by the company I work for in South Dakota for 19 years and after working in fountain Colorado for ten more years, I got laid off in 2007 since the economy was in a recession at the time, I decided to go to massage school and graduated in 2009 and started my first business, Serenity balance massage.
I met Larry Atencio in 2015 and we decided to go into business together in 2016 and started San Miguel Wellness, LLC. We operate our business together at 3939 E. San Miguel St., Colorado Springs, CO 80909. We both love what we do, helping people live happier, healthier lives by relieving their pain and stress of everyday life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having is easy we have had our struggles with difficult clients sometimes, Covid shutdowns and problems with employees. For the most part, we have a lot of wonderful clients, that we love helping them through their pains and stress with massage therapy.

Larry specializes in Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, Muscle ReEducation. Cheryl Works with Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Reiki, Aromatouch and uses Biomat on her table for comfort and therapy along with DoTERRA essential oils.
