Hi Brennah, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately pottery has been bringing me a ton of joy. It’s a creative space where I can get my hands dirty, can’t be on our touch my phone and helps my mind slow down.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey! I’m Brennah Rosenthal, a commercial video and photo producer and owner of Great Escape media, a production company based in Denver.
One of my favorite parts of the job is curating the perfect group of people for each project. Every shoot has its own energy, and I thrive on building teams that match both the creative vision and the vibe of the people involved. It’s like curating the perfect dinner party, but for production.
Recently I’ve been working on a ton of different projects like helping a CBD company with a new library of assets for their rebrand, to a commercial for an organization that helps people quit nicotine. Each day is different, but I love surrounding myself with good
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
The first time I remember being powerful was when I found climbing. It felt like the first thing I was ever really “good” at and required a lot of mental and physical strength.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Back when I was first starting off in production I worked on a music video where the EP they hired was “fraudulent.” I ended up picking up his pieces and working 6am to 4am every day for 3 days straight. The rapper that was a part of the music video screamed at me the entire time because he wanted a McDonald’s breakfast sandwich and we were about 1h from any McDonalds. Because of how I was treated I thought I never wanted to work in production again, but really what I took from that is that I wanted to work on making sure everyone I ever worked on set with again was treated fairly and having fun.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That you have to work yourself into the ground to “make it.” I feel the most connected to work after taking time off to travel and spend time with friends & family.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I honestly would stop working and just enjoy the time I had left by traveling and eating good food.
