We’re looking forward to introducing you to Melodie Essig. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Melodie, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I presented with the top Vedic scholars in the world two years in a row. Including Dr. David Frawley.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I completed the largest Yoga teacher training in the world and have a BA in Yoga from Naropa University. Including continuing education with the best Yoga lineages alive. I’ve been practicing Yoga daily for over 20 years. Plus teaching at temple, university and studio. I also take private clients. In addition, I also am a professional jytoshya. Jyotish is Trafitional Indian Astrology. I completed an apprenticeship with a big name Evolutionaru Astrology in 2011. With my background in Yoga. I quickly realized Jyotish is the older and more scientifically accurate system. Plus the path to follow. So I sought a Jyotish guru. Who I studied with privately for many years. I’ve had a successful practice in Vedic Astrology since 2018.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My Jyotish mentor, gurus, friends and college professors. Extra big thanks to them!

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
One of my Yoga asana gurus, Made it clear that being spiritual and helping people is my roll. Like instead of hiding it. That’s what I’m here for,

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say helping people, my friends and family. Plus giving to others matters to me most,

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was always there for them. Plus kind and generous. That my teachings helped benefit their lives.
