Venus Howard shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Venus, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I started paddleboarding last year, and just floating on the lake with a friend, being completely disconnected gives me peace and joy.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Venus, a Realtor with nearly 25 years of experience helping families relocate to and within the Denver metro area. My brand is built on the belief that buying or selling a home should feel empowering, not overwhelming—so I combine expert guidance, strong negotiation skills, and a big dose of humor to make the process smoother and even a little fun. Clients often describe me as ‘motherly but a bulldog when it comes to getting things done,’ which I take as the highest compliment.
I specialize in relocation, which means I don’t just help people find a house—I help them find their place in a new city. From schools and commute times to the best local coffee shop, I’m the connector who makes Denver feel like home before the moving truck even arrives.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my digital reach with neighborhood videos, local guides, and behind-the-scenes real estate insights so people moving to Denver can start their journey feeling informed and confident. My motto is ‘Expect Better. Experience Results.’—and I live by it every day.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My grandfather. I spent most of my time at their house growing up and he taught me what it was like to be a hard worker, yet spend time with family and what matters most. I was taught right and wrong, how to speak up for myself and how to experience life through other people and their experiences and beliefs.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
For a long time, the fear that held me back most was the fear of not being enough. Not smart enough, not prepared enough, not worthy enough to take up space or go after big goals. It made me play small, even when I knew I was capable of more. Over time, I learned that fear thrives in silence—so I started speaking up, taking action before I felt ready, and proving to myself that I was already enough. I still struggle with comparison syndrome but I recenter myself and remind myself of my accomplishments.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to helping people make confident, life-changing decisions—whether that’s finding the right home, building financial stability, or reclaiming their sense of possibility. I believe everyone deserves to feel informed, empowered, and supported when navigating big transitions, and I’ll keep showing up with resources, guidance, and a little humor no matter how long it takes. For me, it’s not just about closing a deal—it’s about opening doors, literally and figuratively
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop endlessly chasing the next big idea. I already know what I need to know—it’s time to stop collecting information and start acting on it. Instead of cramming in more courses, books, and strategies, I’d refine what I already know, execute with focus, and use the extra time to really live my life—more sunsets, more laughter, more presence in the moments that matter
