Beth Soldner on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Beth Soldner. Check out our conversation below.

Beth, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think the biggest thing that is misunderstood about virtual assistants (and my business) is that we can still get the job done incredibly well and efficiently even if we aren’t in person. We’ve talked to a lot of business owners who are hesitant to hire a virtual assistant because they fear not having access to them face to face will be unproductive. Ask any of our clients- its quite the opposite. 🙂

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Beth Soldner, I am the owner of a small team of Admin Virtual Assistants with Soldner Virtual Solutions. I founded SVS in 2021 after having my first child and leaving elementary education as a career. I knew I wanted to break free of the typical career 9-5 work day/week and find some flexibility, make my own schedule, and still provide an income for my family. Since 2021 we have grown leaps and bounds, helped clients offload thousands of hours of work from their plate, and help transform businesses across the country. We take care of just about all of your business’ admin needs, virtually, so companies don’t have to waste time and resources when they could be growing and scaling.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My kids! 100%. It sounds pretty cliche, but it’s so true in my life. Interacting with my kids, watching them learn new things, model behaviors, and speak to others is the biggest influence on me and how I see myself, conduct business, and handle life. Knowing that I am raising two other human beings that will someday be released into the world around them based on how my husband and I raise them is a HUGE motivator for me. They remind me daily that I am capable, strong, and can do the hard things the right way…because my husband and I are teaching them those things too.

What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
I’ve definitely changed my mind about accepting anyone as a client, just because they want or need services. I feel like when you first start a business, you’re so excited to get it off the ground, you’ll take any and all business that comes your way. I’ve learned over the past few years that just because we offer a broad array of admin tasks to businesses, doesn’t mean its always going to be a good fit, even if we are 100% comfortable and capable of doing the services. Relationship with the client is SO huge and sometimes personalities just aren’t a good fit. We’ve gotten pretty good at being selective with clients so that everyone gets the maximum benefit from SVS’ services.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Wow, so many things. My faith, my marriage, my kids, my family & relationships with my friends, my business. Relationships are incredibly important to me, I give them a lot of my time and energy. Any relationship I build I try to build for the long haul.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Honestly, probably the time they saved by using SVS for their businesses. We take over 100 hours a month off of other businesses plates so that those owners have the time back to do whatever else they need/want in their business. Time is such a valuable resource and we are glad we can give so many companies some of that precious time back to themselves.
