Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Ronci.

Alex , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started A+ Construction Ltd in 2017 after working for a few construction companies in the Boulder area years prior. Growing up, my father was a fabricator and I was fortunate enough to be around tools my whole life. After starting A+ Construction Ltd, I soon realized I wanted to specialize in deck construction. Ever since then, A+ Construction Ltd has been dedicated to building the greatest deck in all the area. Partnering with decking companies like Timber Tech and Deckorators allow me to use the best products at the best prices. Being IRC and BBB accredited, my small business has come a long way and still has many new business paths to explore!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being a small business owner is never easy. When you start and for a very long time after, you have to wear all the hats; and there’s a lot. Nothing in life is easy, so we choose the hard we want.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As mentioned before, we specialize in deck building as I have a great passion for being outdoors and seeing these beautiful projects come to life.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I have always figured things in this industry out on my own. We are lucky (or not) enough to have this wondering thing called the internet where if you don’t know how to do something or how something works, it is very easy to be a student and start researching any topic or subject you could ever want to learn about. Networking is always extremely important and that is just a crucial part of being a small business owner and is a personal skill we all can work on!
