Check Out Amy Lerch’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Lerch.

Hi Amy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I graduated from an Aveda cosmetology school with a desire to use my creativity to transform hair. I studied under a master stylist and started building a client base. Continuing to build after several years my mentor and I opened our first salon near Cherry Creek. Together we grew our salon over many years to over 40 employees. 14 years later it was time for me to venture out on my own.

In 2017, Peace. Love. Hair became a reality, an 8 chair salon to develop and inspire stylists in a luxury boutique space. I have trained extensively with many brands: Kerastase, Oribe, Bellami Hair, Hair talk, Brazillian Blow-Out, UNITE, Kevin Murphy, TIGI, Masters of Balayage.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never a smooth road when owning your own business. I had no clue how to run a business when I opened my first salon. I had no formal business training but there are a lot of resources out there, most of it was trial and error. Learn from your mistakes and move on. I depended on my family and reached out for help when I needed it. But I’m always learning along the way and now I have so many people that I can collaborate with when I need a hand.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a master stylist who has spent countless hours training and learning to advance my skills. Specializing in blonding hair and applying all extension techniques. I am known for my attention to detail, styling, and coloring hair. I am most proud of my extension work. For years I have sought out the best quality and safest methods to apply for hair extensions. For most, it is a luxury service to enhance their hair. For many of my clients, it is a necessity when they struggle with hair loss. The confidence it gives and how they view themselves is a true gift. I am a very detailed stylist that goes above and beyond to give a very custom look.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite memory from childhood is playing dress-up, putting on makeup and wearing high heels. I guess it was in me to become a stylist it just took a minute to figure that out.
