Check Out Anthony Graham’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Graham.

Anthony, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Oh, dear God.

Okay, let’s try this. I am 54 years old. I have an awesome as HELL 11-year-old son who I’m continually blown away by. I live in Manitou Springs, CO. I’m a professional photographer who makes very little money, so I am truly at one with the artistic universe. I take portraits, I take weddings, I take kink. My biggest influence was the GOAT Portrait shooter Helmut Newton. I started getting into photography as a kid reading the big book of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs. And I learned more about photography in burlesque shows than anywhere else!

You hustle every day. It doesn’t stop. It’s really a chase to get ahead every day. It can be a beast. But I’m surrounded by people who dig me enough to keep an eye on me. And there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t obsess over something or other. But it’s cool.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I like to think I take strange photographs of odd people. But really a bit of everything.

I’m mainly known for burlesque, kink, and sometimes very depressing and depraved stuff. Also known for being weirdly polite and laughing way too loud when the shoot is just right.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My mom accidentally took me to a drive-in theatre in Texas and I at the ripe young age of 6 watched Tobe Hooper’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It changed my life.
