Hi Ben & Angie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello, we’re Ben and Angie Vallance! A husband and wife duo who specialize in weddings and commercial work for photography and cinematography. In 2021, Ben and Angie jumped to freelance full-time with Starlight Stories after only working in the industry for a few years!

We’re traveling filmmakers who love to serve people all over the world. We aim to be not just photographers but storytellers, making every session enjoyable and effortless, which is why we named it Starlight Stories! While Angie is the extrovert and ultimate “hype man,” Ben disappears into the background of your day. Sneaking his way into those special hidden moments to capture it all. Together, we strive to tell a story through our lens that’s emotive, timeless, and, most importantly, authentic!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been easy! At first, when we went full-time as freelancers, it was honestly scary. Everything was on us now, so it was time to put our heads down and do the work. Every client was a chance to learn something new and show up better today than we did yesterday.

Working hard for this dream of ours hasn’t been easy, but it has been one of the most rewarding things we have done. We get to wake up every day, capture meaningful stories, and meet the most beautiful people!

The absolute best part of it all is that we get to do it together!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are storytellers. Capturing true-to-life frames in a way that allows the viewer to feel as though they were there in that moment. Drawing people into the little details of a story is one of the things that we pride ourselves on.

We have worked with large companies and big television networks (Dr. Phil and TBN, to name a few.), but at the end of the day, we just want to tell compelling stories. To capture memories and moments for generations to come.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Benjamin and Angie are both followers of Christ who met at church! While we are two opposite people, we are best friends and true lovers! While Ben grew up in Boy Scouts and reached the rank of Eagle, Angie loved playing her sports while being a cheerleader!
