Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittnee Brooks
Hi Brittnee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story started as a little girl with a dream to continue to always make sure that her voice was always heard. Lucky for me, that realization happened when I was high school, that I wanted to pursue things that allowed me to use my voice for good and inspire. I have continued to keep on pursuing that dream now in my 20’s and I will never look back.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely it has not been a smooth road- I would have to say that it has definitely been incredibly rocky and filled with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. I have always battled self sabotaging thoughts and self identity troubles where I always doubt that all my successes and what I am pursuing aren’t things that I am worthy of. I also have and continue battle wearing myself too thin for others comfort. I am always looking to work and maintain healthy ways of coping with those struggles and not allowing them to completely take over.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I would say the work that I specialize in would be a couple of different things that bring me joy including broadcasting, hosting, emceeing, media, media marketing, content creation, etc. I would say the proudest thing I can think of for myself is that I have gotten to this stage in my life purely out of hustle, hard work and my own. That is the proudest thing I can think of about myself and what I will always appreciate and love about myself. When you yourself are your biggest supporter.
How do you think about luck?
I would say that luck good or bad has always had a hand in my life but I wouldn’t say it has been most of it. I do believe that a lot of things happened in my life due to being at the right place at the right time but I also know that if I hadn’t put in the work to get there, then the outcome would probably look quite a bit different. I think sometimes it is good to hold out and wish on luck but to always know that you have got yourself in case luck isn’t bringing you the hopeful outcome that you had hoped for.
