Today we’d like to introduce you to Cade Wood.
Hi Cade, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My company/fitness modeling started a few years ago when I first began getting into fitness. There was so much misinformation on social media, and everyone was being told what exercises they should and shouldn’t do. It was very overwhelming and frustrating.
After a few years of research, lifting, growth, and traction on social media, I launched my online business “cadejwood.com”/ “nxt aesthetics” because I wanted to give people the structure, they needed to make changes in their lives. As I got sponsored by companies and published in modeling (fashion and fitness), I decided to write my first book “Ultimate Abs” which was an Amazon best-seller. Following that, I wrote my second book with nutrition information and recipes to help people lose weight titled “Making the Cut.” Both are available on amazon.
I wrote these books with the hope of helping people understand how to lose weight effectively, and I want to provide all the necessary tools people may not have.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. When pursuing a life on social media, in modeling, or starting your own business, there is always going to be speed bumps and a lot of negativity. When I first started people would ask me “how much money are you losing?”, “do you really think you have the body for this?” and many others.
There was a lot of learning curves, but I am grateful for the hardships because it has made me a much more well-rounded individual.
It can be extremely discouraging, but I decided to keep my head down because this is what I was passionate about. No matter what you do, people will always try to drag you down. I found that this is because your growth scares people who don’t want to change.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a fashion/fitness model and social media personality. I am known mainly for my Instagram, my eBooks, and my features in magazines (Imperial, 303, etc.). I specialize in inspiring people to go after their dreams, as well as helping them achieve their dream bodies.
I am proud of the impact I have been able to make on others. I get messages and emails daily with people telling me they love how they look, or that they look at my pictures for inspiration and motivation. I have created a community of people that want to better themselves. Also, I am proud that I stuck with my passions, people tried to tear me down, I lost relationships because of what I was pursuing, and I never let it affect me. This is something I truly believed in, and now it is starting to pay off.
The thing that sets me apart from others is that I am trying to be the influence that I did not have when I began my journey. I respond to everyone, I do all sorts of work, and I love helping people make changes in their lives. Also, I do not know anyone who does the things I do. I was a college athlete who wrote 2 books, started a business, got featured in magazines, and grabbed 2 sponsorships (Edge Lifestyle and YouCanBeam Supplements).
What’s next?
From a business perspective, I plan on adding 1 on 1 coaching to help people achieve the body they have always dreamt of attaining, or “Sculpt Their Masterpiece.” This is something I have been planning because I want to continue to grow my community, and adding a more personalized aspect will allow me to do that. Another goal of mine from a business perspective is to start my own skincare company under the same name “nxt aesthetics.” Growing up, I had bad acne and it really messed with my confidence. As I got older, I learned how to take care of my skin and noticed that my confidence skyrocketed. I learned that most men do not know much, if anything, about skincare, so I want to provide men with all the necessary things they need to achieve the confidence I felt.
From a social media standpoint, I want to achieve 100k followers in the next year, I want to continue to inspire people, and having a larger reach allows me to touch the lives of that many more people. I truly am passionate about creating content and inspiring people. I may not know who I am inspiring, but I know that I am impacting the lives of someone, and that is something that makes me happy.
Within the fitness industry, I want to change what is appreciated. For many years, we have always idolized “mass monsters” and we focus on how big someone can get. This is the basis of which “nxt aesthetics” came from, I want to be the next era of aesthetics. I want someone to be appreciated for being lean, having stations, and nice shape. I want to be aesthetic, big shoulders, nice V-taper, abs, small waist, etc. and that is where my inspiration comes from.
I never thought I had what it took to be a model, but I managed to get clothing brand deals (Edge Lifestyle) and featured in magazines after I started trying. It was a world that I always wanted to be involved in, but wasn’t confident enough to do so until I went for it. My goal for the future is to be featured on covers around the world. By achieving this goal, it increases my reach and allows me to touch the lives of so many people.
