Check Out Damian Messori’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Damian Messori.

Hi Damian, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to today?
I studied graphic design and worked as a web designer for many years. But I had always been curious about animation and wanted to learn more about it. Also, I was tired of working in an office every day (this was pre-pandemic), so I knew I wanted a change of lifestyle.

In 2018, I quit my job and started doing animation and motion design tutorials to learn the skills. I started with just a couple of local clients, and as word-of-mouth spread, the work started coming in more consistently. I couldn’t do everything myself, so I invited people I knew to help out. Eventually, my wife and I established CatCow Studio.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced?
As newcomers to the field, we learned about the animation process, how to deal with clients, and even how to find new clients. It’s been both smooth and not smooth. But what we found is that by offering a consistently good service, both in the quality of the work and the way you treat the client, people like that will sing your accolades.

The pandemic obliviously hasn’t helped, but like many studios who have been able to stick it out, we see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Catlow Studio specializes in creative storytelling. We chose the medium of animation and motion graphics to carry this out. Whenever we approach a new project, we think about the story first. Storytelling is one of the most effective ways to connect with your audience and get them to remember your message. Each client we work with is unique, and their stories are different, so we have a lot of fun looking for creative ways to share their message.

Our biggest differentiator is our approach to creative storytelling and the passion we have to do the best work possible in every project. It’s something that our clients tell us again and again that they love.

To wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
