Today we’d like to introduce you to David Carbone.

David Carbone

David, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, my name is David Carbone, and I am a media and podcast host for MiCannaCast. Several years ago, my best friend and co-host, Jeremy Russo, and I started MiCannaCast with a passion to provide knowledge about cannabis and dispel the myths that often surround it.

Since its inception, MiCannaCast has been committed to spreading positivity. Our mission is to advocate for cannabis, educate individuals about its benefits, and inspire awareness of topics like terpenes, cannabinoids, and plant structure. We believe there’s a suitable cannabis product for everyone, addressing various ailments such as CBG’s benefits for gut health.

MiCannaCast was built to be a prominent voice in the industry. Following discussions with my friend and father, I rekindled my interest in cannabis. Starting with cultivating plants—a passion I developed helping my grandmother in her beautiful backyard garden—I soon realized the need for more education and positive advocacy.
MiCannaCast has grown significantly. Originally an audio podcast, we expanded to include video, allowing us to conduct community interviews and feature industry guests. Notable personalities like Niambe McIntosh and Nikka T. have joined us to discuss their insights. We release a new podcast every Wednesday at 4:20 PM EST, and on Saturdays at 9:00 AM EST, we host a live “Wake and Bake,” all available on YouTube by searching MiCannaCast. We also live-stream events, conduct in-person interviews, and strive to provide the latest cannabis information to our listeners.
Personally, I take pride in growing high-quality, award-winning cannabis. Having experienced its medical benefits firsthand, I am passionate about advocating for the plant’s positive impact. Obtaining my medical card in 2008 due to health issues allowed me to legally grow cannabis in Michigan, where I focused on cultivating organic, flavorful buds for therapeutic relief.

However, my journey faced a significant setback in 2015 when federal agencies raided the dispensary where I worked, resulting in severe legal repercussions. Despite this adversity, I eventually returned to cannabis cultivation after all charges were dropped. In 2022, I achieved a significant milestone by placing third in the Organic Cup with my strain “Bangarang.” This was followed by winning first place in the Sativa category at the Hash Bash Cup. These achievements have not only validated my dedication but also inspired me to envision broader opportunities for my products in dispensaries.

With unwavering support from my family and friends, I have transformed challenges into positive influences, both personally and within my community. Every obstacle has shaped me into the person I am today—a successful business owner and award-winning grower. I firmly believe that challenges, though daunting at the time, ultimately refine our character and lead to greater accomplishments.

In conclusion, I encourage everyone facing adversity to seek support and maintain a positive outlook. Embracing challenges as opportunities for growth has been key to my success. I am dedicated to continuing my journey in the cannabis industry, sharing knowledge through MiCannaCast, and promoting a positive narrative around cannabis consumption.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With the help of my family and friends, I was able to overcome many struggles and challenges and to turn them into positive influences on myself and my community. I wouldn’t have a business or be an award-winning grower without these struggles and challenges, they have shaped me for the better into who I am today.

Everyone faces struggles or obstacles in life, but remember not to dwell in a dark place, and use others for help or better yet learn from the hard times, and make positive outcomes. That’s exactly what I did, I turned all the negative into a positive. I am here manifesting these changes because I would rather enjoy my life doing something I love than be in a negative mindset. Always continue to push forward even when giving up is easier, because you’ll never know what’s on the other side. Challenges seem like punishments when they happen, but they’ll make you a better person in the future, so never give up on your dreams!!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in lead generation through Google and Facebook paid advertising. My work focuses on helping businesses grow their bottom line by generating high-quality leads that convert into sales. What sets me apart from others is my hard work and deep understanding of these advertising platforms. This combination allows me to create tailored advertising strategies that resonate with target audiences, ensuring maximum ROI for my clients. I am most proud of my consistent track record in boosting my clients’ revenue and helping them achieve their business goals through effective and efficient advertising campaigns.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like best about our city, Roseville, is its proximity to Detroit. This gives us access to the vibrant culture, diverse dining options, and various entertainment opportunities that Detroit offers. Additionally, Roseville has a friendly community and is a convenient place to live and work.

What I like least about Roseville is that there isn’t much to do within the city itself besides eating and working. It would be great to have more recreational activities and entertainment options available locally.
