Check Out Ema Gutierrez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ema Gutierrez

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started making salsa for friends and family for birthdays, holiday parties, banquets and other gatherings. We always had the best feedback and always were encouraged to sell our homemade salsa. After doing research we quickly decided to make a hobby into a business and we took off, and haven’t looked back. We have been in business for 5 years now and gained an amazing clientele and meet so many new people and have great connections with all of our consumers at farmers markets, craft shows and online orders. We are extremely blessed and thankful for this community and business we have built.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We had a great start to our business starting out in 2019 but as many other businesses Covid was a struggling time for us. We had limited places to sell due to the restrictions. We are extremely grateful for our friends Veronica and Alonzo the owners of Gonzales Chili stand during that time for allowing us to sell with them, and keeping us in business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are family owned homemade salsa business. We sell hot, medium, and mild salsa, our medium salsa is our best selling. We are proud of the community and relationships we have built from our business, but we are most proud of doing this all on our own and making a dream a reality. What sets us apart from others is we use hatch chili, and the quality and taste keeps our customers coming back and growing.

What matters most to you? Why?
The relationships we have built and ensuring our customers we are using the best and fresh ingredients for our salsa.
