Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Godfrey.
Hi Emma, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Resolute Supplements started with a simple goal: to create a better pre-workout—one that actually works, tastes great, and doesn’t come with the downsides so common in the supplement world.
The idea came from Devan Godfrey, co-founder of Resolute and a two-time US Rowing Youth National Champion (2022, 2023). As an elite rower, Devan trained at the highest level—and like many athletes, he relied on pre-workout to fuel his performance. But after trying countless products, nothing seemed right. Either the ingredients were questionable, the taste was off, or the side effects—jitters, crashes, digestive distress—weren’t worth it.
So, as a family, we decided to do something different. We created our own.
From the very beginning, our focus has been on quality, transparency, and performance. We worked to formulate a clean, effective pre-workout using only high-quality ingredients—no junk, no fillers, and nothing that doesn’t serve your body. We wanted something that tasted amazing and felt even better, whether you’re an elite athlete or just getting started on your fitness journey.
The name Resolute comes from Devan’s mindset. In 2021, he qualified for the US Youth National Championships and finished 8th. He wasn’t satisfied. Over the next 12 months, he committed himself fully—training with focus, intensity, and an unwavering drive to improve. The following year, he returned and won the national title. And then he did it again.
That relentless spirit—unwavering, determined, purposeful—became the foundation of our brand.
We launched Resolute with three flavors of pre-workout and have since expanded our lineup to include creatine, energy powders, and more. But our mission remains the same: to provide clean, effective supplements that support anyone committed to becoming better—athletes, gym-goers, and anyone ready to take their health seriously.
Resolute isn’t just a supplement brand. It’s a mindset. A commitment. A belief that with the right tools and the right effort, we can all go further.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting Resolute has definitely been a tough journey. We’re a small, family-owned and self-funded business with a team of just three people, so every step has taken a lot of grit and resourcefulness. Our focus has always been on creating a product that’s truly high quality—something clean, effective, and great-tasting—but doing that with limited funding and no big marketing budget is a real challenge in an industry dominated by huge brands.
One of the hardest parts has been simply getting people to try the product. Once people actually try Resolute, they’re usually surprised by how good it tastes and how clean the energy feels—but getting past that first barrier of awareness without the noise and hype of bigger brands has been a constant uphill battle.
That said, we believe in what we’re building. Every time someone tries it and comes back for more, it’s a reminder that quality still matters—and that the long game is worth playing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m Emma Godfrey, one of the co-founders of Resolute Supplements, alongside my brother Devan and our dad Gary.
My passion for health and fitness started from personal struggles that pushed me to take control of my wellness. That journey led me to earn my Health Coaching Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and become a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM.
I’m also a content creator and influencer, and those skills now play a big role in managing our media and marketing for Resolute Supplements . From social content to community building, I love connecting with people and sharing what makes Resolute different.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Absolutely—starting any new business is a risk, and entering the supplement market makes that even more true. It’s a highly competitive space, dominated by large, well-funded companies with massive marketing budgets. As a small, family-funded business, we knew what we were up against.
What gave us the confidence to take that leap was recognizing a clear gap in the market. We believed in our ability to fill it with our products, and that belief gave us the courage to move forward despite the challenges.
For me, risk is less about the fear of failure, it’s about believing in your vision enough to step into uncertainty. That’s exactly what we did—and it’s a risk I’m proud we continue to take every single day.
