Today we’d like to introduce you to Heidy Rivera.

Hi Heidy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Heidy Rivera
Massage therapy was always a calling for me. I love the idea of healing and healing people in a holistic manner. I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2009 and esthetician since 2015. Having worked those years at many prestigious salons and spa all over South Florida and Denver. Specializing in deep tissue, sports therapy stretching and many more techniques. I believe in order to be a good therapist you have to be well rounded knowing both the muscle and the way it works with the mind in conjunction.
Having acquired knowledge isn’t something that ends it continues to grow in this field as there is always more to learn. Esthetics have been a great addition to massage as I have specialized in a sculpture facial massage technique that not only helps for the wrinkles it helps alleviate TMJ related issues. Facials are a great way to relax and rejuvenate the skin at the same time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In order to take care of others one must take care of yourself
It’s a continuing process of navigating working on others and giving your best self when you are not feeling your best self.
I am a single mom and balancing work and motherhood can be a challenge.
Fortunately my career has given me the flexibility to be able to spend time with my son.
Learning to take care of people the way they need is a learning experience as well
As everyone needs something different.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a massage therapist and esthetician. I have spealized in mostly sports and deep tissue work but has since ventured into more esthetics and lighter work.
I am proud of making people feel better.
I love what I do and have been working in this field since 2009.
I hope to continue this career for rest of my life.
I was blessed to know my purpose in life in high school.
So work doesn’t feel like work

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I am a musician the music that ia played during the sessions makes the experience for both better as a sometimes him while I work.
I also love to cook and it’s a love language for me to others and myself. I love the learn new thing including languages. In which I have has international clients and picked up basic words to communicate with my clients in their preferred language.
