Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacopo Arcangeli.

Hi Jacopo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi to everyone! My name is Jacopo Arcangeli and I am a novel author from Pistoia, Italy. Since I was a child, my passion for books has been an important part of myself.

I was a particular child although, ’cause meanwhile, it was already a big deal if my friends were reading the most famous fairy tales, my favorite literary genres were already techno-thriller and science in general! Micheal Crichton, Robin Cook, Tom Clancy, Thomas Harry… all bestseller authors which ever inspiring me, such as reader-like authors.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If your dream is to transform your passion in your job, and you truly want it, you are in the middle of your road. But it’s not enough, because every time and every day something or someone tries to convince you to doubt your capacity.

Some days it’s very difficult take myself focus on my goal, but I repeat to myself that I must stop listening to the voice in my mind that tries to doubt me. But if you’re strong and determined enough until a publishing house accepts to publish your books, your dream becomes true. All the sacrifices disappear, so keep writing!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a novel author, I’m interested in trying many literature genres. But I usually write about thriller genre novels. By the way, my first novel called “Checkmate” is set in America and Denver is the hometown of one of the principal characters. My last novel called WELLNESS WORLD is out now in every store online and I really proud of that work.

Let me tell you the plot of Wellness World: “The testing of a new oncological therapy, the result of pioneering scientific research, is being carried out on a private island in the Indonesian archipelago owned by BioTech Corp., a multinational pharmaceutical company based in England. A group of volunteers are enlisted to start human trials of Newregen, a revolutionary drug that promises to be the definitive weapon in the fight against cancer with benefits for all humanity.

The growing hostility towards humans of a mysterious and elusive creature endemic to the island will endanger the experimentation as well as the lives of all the facility’s guests, while a new pathogen discovered on some staff members risks endangering the health and safety of the facility. the whole of humanity.” The first feedback is very good and it’s a fantastic feeling, after years of hard work. But sometimes, in my other projects, I like to write some different novels, quite far from my comfort zone as an author.

Martial arts and history are good arguments for a story. Maybe one of these days…! I can’t say what sets me apart from the other authors, but those who read my novel say that I have a very good “use of the movie camera” and bring my readers “in the middle of the action”. Reading my operas is like watching a movie. It’s very satisfying when you can put what you had imagined in the mind of someone else.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I am a strong supporter of paper books, ’cause the power of the paper is incompatible with any other kind of text. So I read more times than I can on paper (books and articles in the newspaper), but obviously, we are in the XXI century and the Internet helps me many times to find the specific argument that I need at that moment.

But let me say that to imagine the worlds which I put on my novels you must travel around the world anytime you can. Meet different cultures and stories, far from your homeland. It’s a fresh breath for the spirit and inspiration.
