Today we’d like to introduce you to Jess Natale.

Hi Jess, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started the So.Informed page while volunteering for the Bernie Sanders campaign in February 2020. I wanted to break down complex political and social issues so that the average person had a better understanding of them!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Never a smooth road. When you’re posting about sometimes contentious issues for millions of people to consume, you are guaranteed to run into some very upset folks.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m proud of the work that I create on the So page. Much of it has changed minds when it comes to politics, which was always my goal. I have also registered thousands of people to vote!

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
Yes—the value of community and taking care of one another.
