Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Rivera.

Hi Jessica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hello Beautiful Beings – My name is Jess and I am known in my community as Moss Hippie. I believe I was called to be a creative and serving member of my community. I was in the medical for 13 years before closing that chapter of my life and starting a new one here in Colorado with my partner in life, Danlock. I have a fond memory of me standing in the kitchen of an Airbnb and telling my family I would be moving out west to become a Reiki Healer and Sea Moss Provider just over one year ago. I give thanks to my partner for providing an environment where I am able to thrive and do what I truly love to do every single day. It is an absolute honor to be a sea moss provider and I am working on offering my Sea Moss Gel Ice Pops at local markets.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are way too many to name. I see obstacles as an opportunity to delve into my creativity and experiment with something better. For example, during the early stage of my business, I offered sea moss gel in a glass jar which resulted in spoiled sea moss after 1 week. The feeling of failure wanted to creep in but I took a step back from the business and immersed myself in nature and books, changed my perspective and allowed myself to open up to several ideas, some of which I’ve tried and failed! I enjoy the freedom of rigidity – it’s where I am free to be my most authentic self.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I offer authentic, 100% organic sea moss from the pristine waters of Jamaica where it is harvested by a deep diver, cleaned, sundried, inspected, packaged, and shipped here to me in the states where I then rehydrated, thoroughly clean and blend with juice from whole organic fruits which I juice myself. What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Exercise the body and mind and ENJOY THE PROCESS.
