Check Out Joe Kunesh’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Kunesh.

Hi Joe, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, my name is Joe Kunesh I started by shooting photos in 2012 on my iPhone of the nature and wildlife I would see on a daily basis. After sharing photos on social media and at school, my high school classmates started to ask for prints. Soon after, I decided to submit a photo to a local art contest, where I won first place and $100.

I eventually sold enough prints to buy my first DSLR in 2013 and have been busy shooting photos ever since. Lately, I’ve been working on a variety of art exhibits where prints still continue to be one of my favorite ways to share my art and I’m so grateful to have my photography in homes across the globe.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has not always been the smoothest. In 2017, 3 days after moving into a new house 100+ miles from home, I got a call from my mom that my grandpa and grandma with dementia needed 24/7 care. I packed up and left that night to help. My grandfather was around for another week and I continued to caretake for my grandmother for another 18 months until she passed away surrounded by her loved ones one week shy of her 101st birthday.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m most known for my Pacific Northwest landscape and nature photography. I think my patience is what I’m most proud of, and I think what sets me apart is my unique approach to how I view new locations.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
