Today we’d like to introduce you to John Williams.
Hi John, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started doing Photography in the 7th grade, I am self-taught. I have been a cameraman for outdoor TV and have been in a few different countries doing that as well.
I have been doing weddings and families. From 1988 until the present. I have had a photography gallery of wildlife and scenic photos in Grand Lake for 10 years. I have lived in Grand Lake for 29 years. I am now starting to do art shows all over Colorado.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
All jobs are hard, But when you love what you do it is not work. I love what I do. I love to get out early in the morning and watch the start of the day.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am often on The Denver News with my photography, from Wildlife to scenic photos. I love the wildlife. I believe I have a very good eye for composition.
Do you have any advice for those just starting?
You do have to be very on the ball with all of the new technology that’s out there. But never buy it when it first comes out, wait a bit.
