Check Out Josh Latham’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Latham.

Hi Josh, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up singing constantly. I was in all kinds of choirs and musicals and eventually started writing my own songs in high school. A couple years ago I decided to take up music production and haven’t stopped since!

I also grew up in an animal family. I spent a lot of my childhood helping my grandpa in his vet clinic and helping my grandma on her horse farm. I’ve been training animals most of my life, and I continue to do so today. I run a local dog training business that specializes in bringing high-quality training at a much more affordable rate than typical good dog training.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I was definitely bullied a lot for singing and being into music growing up, which tends to happen to a lot of male artists in their youth, but the most difficult challenge has always been to continue to believe in myself. I’m definitely my biggest critic and it takes constant effort to not doubt my own abilities.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
One thing I’m super proud of is being able to produce all my own music, as well as singing and rapping over my songs. I feel like people typically specialize in one area, but I make it a priority to be able to do everything myself. On top of that, I cover a lot of musical genres, so that has helped open some doors.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Being a good person. Ultimately in life, and especially in the music industry, it seems like most people you come across are super selfish or just don’t care much about what happens to other people. I want to be someone who can spread positive ideas and make the world a better place. I’d love to make the saying “don’t meet your heroes” outdated!
