Today we’d like to introduce you to Kandi Jo Arnold.
Hi Kandi Jo, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This article is coming out on my 53rd birthday, which feels like the perfect time to reflect on the path that’s brought me here. My journey began over two decades ago with massage therapy in 2002 and evolved into a deep passion for holistic aesthetics. Since becoming a licensed aesthetician in 2008, I’ve blended Eastern and Western techniques to create results-driven yet deeply healing treatments. Over the years, I’ve worked in spas as well as medical and holistic settings, and each step has shaped the work I do today.
A true turning point in my career happened while working at a local acupuncture office, The Balanced Thistle. There, we focused on health-based beauty, and the experience was transformative—not only for the clients but for me personally. The women I worked with and the uplifting culture were the most positive and supportive I had encountered since beginning this journey in the industry. It was in that environment that I saw firsthand how deep healing and real beauty go hand in hand.
I have also studied internationally and now travel and teach facial remodeling methods to other professionals. Today, I own a beautiful studio where I care for my clients, and I continue to share what I’ve learned through workshops and training.
I specialize in facial sculpting, fascia release, and lymphatic contouring—blending intuitive touch, facial reflexology, and advanced Gua Sha with energy work to help clients reconnect with their natural radiance. I’m currently developing workshops for my clients focused on simple, effective at-home care routines that support their skin and overall well-being between sessions.
My mission is to go beyond surface-level beauty and offer experiences that truly support the body, mind, and spirit.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
That’s a complicated question—because the road has definitely had its bumps. Building my clientele wasn’t easy. I’m a single & solo parent, and I actually went to aesthetics school when my daughter was just six months old. It’s been a journey ever since.
I originally opened a studio in Nebraska but decided to move back to my hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado when my daughter was 7. That meant closing the Nebraska studio and starting from scratch all over again. For years, I worked two jobs—whether that was waiting tables while seeing clients, or working at two different spas—just to keep building my practice.
Through it all, I’ve learned not only what I love about this industry, but also what I don’t—which I think is just as valuable. Those challenges helped shape the way I work today and gave me the clarity and confidence to create something that truly reflects my passion and purpose.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What makes me most proud is witnessing the transformation in someone who arrives feeling drained and leaves feeling lighter, more grounded, and reconnected to themselves. Creating that kind of space is incredibly meaningful to me. Guiding someone into a true moment of self-care—where they can simply let go and just be—is something I never take for granted. It’s a privilege and an honor. Seeing clients truly feel better is what brings me the most joy.
Right now, I’m especially focused on how a client’s inner world reflects in their outer beauty. Instead of just adding new products or devices, I’m exploring ways to calm the nervous system, stimulate the lymphatics, and support the body from within. Facial reflexology and fascial face mapping are part of my regular practice, and I love seeing how these techniques not only transform the outer appearance but also create a domino effect of positive changes throughout the body. It’s all about nurturing true beauty—inside and out.
What matters most to you? Why?
As a mom, what matters most to me is that my daughter stays true to herself, follows her heart, and builds a life that feels meaningful to her.
As a studio owner, it’s important that I create a space where clients feel comfortable, safe, and free to fully let go. I want them to leave feeling better—more relaxed, grounded, and cared for—than when they arrived.
As a mentor and teacher, I aim to inspire my students to be confident, curious, and committed to their growth. I always encourage them to ask questions and trust their instincts.
And as a human being, what matters most is showing up with compassion and being the kind of person I needed when I was younger. That guides everything I do.
