Check Out Kevin Venkatesh’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Venkatesh.

Hi Kevin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a creative mind, but my story started about 10 years ago as a young 19-year-old man wondering what my direction and purpose was. To combat my anxieties, I started hiking and exploring around my hometown in upstate New York. Eventually, I picked up an old Canon camera of my dad’s and brought that along. Within months, I was hooked on photography, taking my camera wherever I went.

Over the next 4 to 5 years, I put all my energy into capturing the best landscapes I could. Eventually, I started taking photos of my friends and family and then tried my hand at engagements and weddings. Now, I photograph everything from portraits, engagements, weddings, family photos, and more. Although landscapes continue to be my bread and butter and the one that I always go back to to remind me why I started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Doing something this long never has an easy path. Starting out is always tough, realizing that I was a complete novice and student, and just had to learn what I could how I could. When I was young, I was shy, and making connections was always a struggle for me. It took me a while to build the confidence I needed to make meaningful connections with other photographers and friends in the industry.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is based on the beauty of nature, and that is the core of what I do. When I picked up a camera, I started by capturing sunrises, sunsets, mountains, and the night sky, which is my absolute favorite thing to witness and capture.

Nowadays, I’m known for incorporating landscapes, the night sky, and more in my lifestyle portraits, engagements, and even weddings. I’m super proud to be able to serve my clients in a way that has brought me joy from the very beginning.

What’s next?
As I am new to the Denver area, my plans are to create a solid foundation in my business and practice here, explore a ton more, and make great connections with other photographers, creatives, and friends.
