Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Miller
Hi Kimberly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a proud Colorado Springs native, I was born and raised in the historic Old North End neighborhood. From a young age, I had an undeniable passion for home design and real estate. I’d eagerly ask my mom to take me to the Parade of Homes and model home tours whenever we had a free moment. I loved imagining how I’d make each space my own and would often try to “sell” the home to my parents.
After attending Northern Arizona University and earning my degree in International Hospitality Management, I spent several years working in event management with Marriott and Renaissance Hotels both in Denver and New Orleans. Later, I transitioned into software sales in Denver, where I honed my skills in business and customer relations. After facing the challenges of infertility, my husband and I were blessed with two beautiful daughters. I chose to stay home with them during their early years, cherishing every moment together.
As my daughters grew older, I started to think about how I could return to work in a way that would combine my love for homes with my background in hospitality, planning, and sales. Real estate was the perfect fit—especially since we now call the town I grew up in our home.
I’m deeply passionate about Colorado Springs and the vibrant community that makes it such a special place. It’s both a joy and an honor to help others buy and sell homes here, and to share with them the magic of this incredible city.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Is any journey ever truly without its bumps? While there have certainly been challenges along the way, I can honestly say that it’s been a rewarding experience. Starting something new is always a bit overwhelming, especially when you’re confronted with the vast amount you still need to learn—and the things you don’t even realize you don’t know. However, I’m fortunate to be with a brokerage that offers incredible training and mentorship. The support from seasoned agents has been invaluable in helping me navigate this new chapter and build a successful business.
It’s always a little scary to step into the unknown and hope you don’t fail, but fortunately, that hasn’t been my experience. Instead, I’ve found it to be a truly fulfilling and positive journey.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Properties, Inc., proudly serving Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region—my home and a place I’m passionate about helping others discover. I specialize in guiding clients through the buying and selling process, ensuring they not only find a house, but a community where they can thrive.
Throughout my life, I’ve been a natural connector. People have always turned to me for recommendations, and I’ve found joy in helping others build relationships and expand their networks. Real estate feels like a perfect extension of that gift. It’s a job that aligns deeply with who I am and what I’ve always done—helping people find their place and feel at home.
One of my greatest passions is working with first-time homebuyers. I understand that buying a home is often an emotional journey, and I consider it a true privilege to walk alongside someone during this life-changing experience. My goal is always to help clients not just find a place to live, but a place where they can grow, connect, and be their best selves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
While luck may be a factor in games like roulette, it’s not something I rely on when it comes to my life or my business. I believe in putting in the work—day in and day out. I’m always striving to learn more, improve my skills, and push myself further. I don’t expect things to be handed to me, nor do I think they should be. What really drives success is hard work, determination, and finding something you’re truly passionate about. That’s far more valuable than any stroke of luck. Of course, if I hit the lottery one day, I might have to reassess—but until then, it’s all about effort and dedication.
