Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Chadwick.
Hi Kristin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In the summer of 2016, I had just been accepted into a graduate school program to receive my Master’s in Counseling. Right before the semester kicked off, my intuition told me to unenroll. I wasn’t sure why but I followed through with withdrawing from the graduate program even though there was really no other reason other than not feeling “right” about it.
A couple of days later, my friend’s husband called me asking me to help him and his wife produce a grassroots podcast. This was something I had zero experience in but I knew I was all in. We started this podcast in the fall of 2016 and grew to top charts within the year. I was thrown into the deep end of podcast production and was actually thriving! I loved getting to know authors, celebrities, leaders, and influencers. Along with the hosts of the podcast, we created valuable and inspiring content for over four years.
In 2020, I launched my own podcast production company supporting other new podcasters ready to launch their voice to create a bigger impact. Steadily over the past four years, we have increased our podcast production and management company to serve well over 40+ podcasts and serve on average nine podcasters each month with editing, promotion, growth, and podcast monetization.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to being a successful entrepreneur is not for the faint-hearted. I really struggled to branch out on my own in 2020. I worked through a lot of mindset blocks and doubted whether I could build a small business on my own. But I did it. I launched my own faith podcast called, Wholistic Hearts, where I said yes to my own story and allowed my heart to be seen after much coaching from my former bosses.
I also started a second podcast in 2021 called Wholistic Podcasting (now called Podcast Coaching for Kingdom Entrepreneurs). This podcast was to accompany my growing podcast management business as a tool and education for other podcasters. I invested in coaching programs, learned how to run an intern program, and hired two contractors to help run my business so I could stay in the lane I love most- coaching podcasters.
There have been many peaks and valleys along this journey. I’ve learned a lot about business finances and leadership qualities I never knew I had. While the world was feeling the pangs of the pandemic, my business thrived. So many people wanted to start a podcast and share their new businesses. I loved it!
I loved meeting people from all over the world. It didn’t come with some hiccups and setbacks though. As with any business, we have had an influx of clients and then had a dryer season where podcasters would fade out. Learning to ride the ebbs and flows of podcasting has been a part of the process of becoming a dynamic coach in this field.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I help female entrepreneurs launch and grow their podcasts so that they can create a bigger impact. We all have a story to share. Most of the coaches authors and influencers I work with want to grow and expand and make a difference whether it is through their ministry or their coaching business or courses. I believe each one of us has a unique voice that needs to be heard.
There is someone waiting to hear your breakthrough story and I help them have the confidence to say yes and move forward. There are many podcast production companies out there but I hold something different- number one, my faith and my podcaster’s faith anchor us into the identity that God has given to each of us.
Number two, I am set apart because I believe in order to have a powerful message, you need to be clear and confident in what your purpose is. I coach my clients through a specific proprietary process to get clear on their content and align their podcasts with their business. We also value our clients’ time and energy and offer podcast production to help them stay in their God-given lane.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite memories was recording cassette mix tapes from the radio and producing my own radio show called, “KFM ROX,” with my initials. I’d lay on my belly, feet kicked up, just waiting for the right songs to play on the radio so I could record them onto the cassette. Then I’d hand it to my brother or endlessly listen to my own recordings on my Sony Walkman while I walked around the woods where I grew up.
