Check Out Kurt Sava’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kurt Sava.

Hi Kurt, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have spent my entire career in banking, and today I am a Commercial Lender/SVP with Pueblo Bank & Trust (PB&T Bank). I enjoy being actively involved in the community, and have spent many years engaged with organizations in and around the Broomfield area. I currently sit on the board of directors for The Liv Project, a non-profit whose mission is to end youth suicide. I’m also an active member of the Broomfield Chapter of Guys Who Give, and I am a member and past President of the Broomfield Rotary Club. Previously, I served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Broomfield FISH, and have served on the boards of both the Superior and Broomfield Chambers of Commerce.
I have two adult daughters, both of whom are a major blessing in my life. I’m a widower, and have a beautiful girlfriend named Claudia. I enjoy CU football, soccer, and baseball. I love to travel, and in the last couple of years have been to Peru and Mexico. My goal is to see much more of Mexico in particular.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Professionally, I made the transition from retail (consumer) banking to commercial banking about 13 years ago. It was a steep learning curve, but I was the beneficiary of lots of support and great people to work with. Ultimately, it comes down to relationships and understanding the needs of small business owners. Each client is its own journey, which I really enjoy.
Personally, losing my wife in 2023 was extremely hard. Friends and family have been critical in my recovery from that.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My role is to assist small business owners with general banking needs, access to working capital, treasury services, and all types of borrowing needs. Each case is unique in terms of the talents, goals, and obstacles that these folks face.
I’m proud of how I have served such a wide variety of people and businesses, and how I use my team and my professional contacts to deliver desired outcomes. What sets me apart I’d like to believe is accountability and sincerity. There are many other banks, and many other lenders. What I hope to deliver is a true relationship built on trust.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I love music, and I listen to different types all the time- not only for enjoyment but also to manage my mood and energy level. I also love to escape with a good novel.
