Check Out Kyle Brammer’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Brammer.

Kyle Brammer

Hi Kyle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We started Ferment Culture because we believe true health isn’t just about what you eat but also where it comes from—and that begins with the soil itself. We make sure every ingredient we use is grown in healthy, living soil, allowing our foods to be packed with life, flavor, and all the beneficial compounds nature has to offer. Our partnerships with local, regenerative farms are especially important: they care for the environment, rebuild soil fertility, and ensure that the produce we receive is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and beneficial microbes. By harnessing traditional fermentation methods, we capture rich probiotics, digestive enzymes, and essential nutrients that support your gut health and overall well-being.

But the heart of Ferment Culture is about more than just the foods we ferment. It’s about the connections we build around the table, sharing our carefully crafted ferments with friends, family, and our growing community. We’ve always believed that when we come together over delicious, nourishing meals, we become stronger and healthier as a whole. This vision—alongside the encouragement of loved ones and a deep passion for wholesome, sustainable food—led us to create Ferment Culture. Here, our dedication to gut health, local sourcing, and regenerative practices thrives, fostering a healthier future for everyone and for the planet we all share.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any business rooted in craftsmanship and sustainability, our journey hasn’t always been smooth—but it’s been deeply rewarding. Sourcing local, organic ingredients from regenerative farms means we’re constantly navigating the challenges of seasonality, availability, and rising costs. Educating consumers about the value of traditionally fermented foods has also been an ongoing process in a market often dominated by mass-produced alternatives.

But despite the hurdles, these challenges have only strengthened our mission. We’ve built incredible relationships with farmers, collaborated with a passionate community that values real food, and stayed true to our commitment to quality. Every obstacle has been an opportunity to refine our process and reconnect with why we started in the first place.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Ferment Culture, we specialize in crafting high-quality, traditionally fermented foods using locally sourced, organic ingredients from regenerative farms. Our focus is on preserving time-honored fermentation techniques while making these nutrient-dense foods accessible and exciting for a modern audience.

What sets us apart is our commitment to both quality and storytelling. With my background in video editing and graphic design, I’ve been able to bring a strong visual and narrative element to our brand. Fermentation is an ancient practice, but through thoughtful design and engaging content, we make it feel fresh, inviting, and relevant.

I’m most proud of the community we’ve built—whether it’s our relationships with local farmers, the customers who trust us to nourish them, or the conversations we’ve sparked about real, living foods. At the end of the day, it’s about more than just fermentation; it’s about culture in every sense of the word.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always outside—exploring, climbing trees, getting my hands dirty. I loved adventure and had a natural curiosity about how things worked. I was also the class clown, always looking to make people laugh and keep things lighthearted. Learning new things excited me, whether it was picking up a new skill, figuring out how to make something from scratch, or diving into a subject just because it sparked my interest.

Looking back, I can see how all of that shaped who I am today. That curiosity and hands-on approach are what led me to fermentation—this incredible blend of science, creativity, and tradition. And that sense of humor? It definitely helps when running a business, because things don’t always go as planned! But at the core, I think I’ve always been drawn to discovery, community, and creating something meaningful, and that’s exactly what Ferment Culture is all about.
