Check Out Kyle Langford’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Langford

Kyle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Really my love for drawing started in middle school. Throughout middle school and high school I always was involved in some sort of art classes. My mom is an artist so when I was about 14 I think I did my first oil painting. After high school I kind of we went in a different direction and lost my drive for art. Fast forward some years and I began working at a frame shop. I really started finding my love for art again. I really started to love the feeling of just shitting the world off and creating. I really love transferring my imagination into a medium that everyone can see. And with that I figured why not try to make a business out of doing what I love. I just hope that people can appreciate my work.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think anything worth doing is ever going to be smooth. For a long time it was always trying to find the time to actually create. Life is always moving so fast so just making time was always something I wanted to do but never did. One day I went through some pretty challenging things that nearly broke me and I just went to art. And now I make time. My hardship I went through really motivated me to just make the time and do what I love

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
A lot of what I do is just coming from my feelings at the time. I try to translate my thoughts onto a medium. Whether it’s drawing or painting. I love to tie dye with my kids. We have a lot fun doing it and it gives my kids a bit of creativity. I don’t think I specialize in just one thing. Sometimes my mood sets me onto a canvas and I paint whatever comes to mind. Mostly I dona lot of landscapes with my painting. I like to try new things with different colors. Sometimes I will take ransom colors and mix them to see what I come up with and just apply it to the painting. I really go for things that pop. What catches my eye. I also started making clocks out of old saw blades. It’s simple yet super satisfying.

What’s next?
Right now I am looking into starting a web page to make my artwork more accessible. I have been researching and trying to decide what makes the most sense for me as to where I am at right now. I also like to interact with people while I am painting so I have been trying to launch a tiktok live stream so I can do that. I feel like social media is a great outlet to get your work recognized. Also looking to start going to more events to sell my work.
