Check Out Kyle Moon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Moon.

Hi Kyle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I only started playing music about 16 years ago when I received my first guitar as a gift and quickly fell in love with writing my own music and performing live.

In 2016 my family and I moved to San Antonio and I quickly found talented musicians that allowed me to form my current band Kyle Moon & the Misled. We began performing in and around San Antonio and released our first EP in December of 2018 and first album, “Straight Fine Livin” in August of 2019.

Right around Covid, my job moved our family back to Denver and although performing live took a break, I continued creating songs with the band in Texas.

We have enjoyed exploring the music scene in Denver, playing shows and making new music. Our most current album, “Everything but Normal” released in March of this year.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was very fortunate in finding gifted musicians that helped create our band, so in that aspect you could say it was a smooth road.

However, as many artists experienced struggles with the pandemic, I found it hard to keep the momentum going especially now that I lived in a different state.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The songs I write come from my own life experiences and thoughts about the future especially with how this world is changing and the crazy times we have lived in.

My band would tell you that I am known for forgetting the words to my own songs or playing the wrong chords every once in a while. Hence the name Kyle Moon and The Misled.

I am really proud of how far we have come and the music we have created. We are excited for the upcoming shows in Denver and currently working on new material.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Denver has a great local music scene with amazing bands and great venues small and large. If you love live music, you are in the right spot.
