Today we’d like to introduce you to Leanie Lee.

Hi Leanie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Growing up my mom and dad on drugs drinking fighting eventually you will see the bad and the wrong things that you do before I could get into foster care my grandma and my grandpa took me in. Which was a blessing. And I learned everything from my grandma my grandpa my grandma wanted me to graduate and that’s what I did before she passed away even went to college for a little bit still going.

In my teenage years, I meet some homies Who may music you know they had a studio microphone and everything they needed to record their own songs before I met them I was just freestyling with a good friend of mine who is now strung out on drugs who won the day I plan to put back on your feet. Around 2012 I say 2011 maybe that was when I wrote my first song it was called I am deranged. My first rap name was five star bars, I don’t really like that so I went with my big brother’s name but you know I’m the little brother so it’s a little lean and that was when I came up with my first mixtape call cloud living. My next mixtape was called spitting bars. My next mixtape was called desire chasing. My next mixtape was called mysterious thoughts. The mixtape after that was called USO and identify smoking object. When I first started I wasn’t the greatest or maybe I was you could check out cloud living on Datpiff autos mixtapes you can check them out on Datpiff round one of my first couple mixtapes we had thrown a show at this hookah lounge and that mother trucker was packed. I stayed dripped and the newest truck fit Which is a clothing line Lil Wayne made his Young Money entertainment me and my guys are Old money entertainment after that we kept gettin showing we opened up for Lil Durk Jadakiss your name our newest one coming up is July 9 for Sada Baby.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely had a lot of struggles along the way down with my family then when I have my son, my family have went to foster care and then the mother of my child have passed away, my grandma passed away lotta good friends of mine passed away those have been my struggles.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an artist. I perform. I song write anything that has music to do with it I do it. I specialize in my music and also fast cars in a luxury lifestyle I’m most proud of what I’ve come from which was nothing I will say what sets me apart from the others is I always strive to do more get more be better.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up being abused I’d love to be outside I couldn’t stand being inside. I will cry and cause a scene so I love to be outside, love to be outdoors, love to explore. I like to get in trouble too I like to go take golf cars, ride them around you know my go to the junkyard drive some cars around or go to the drywall yard and jump off some drywall just a fun kid you know. Played a lot of football backyard football did a lot of dingdong ditching.
