Hi Lori, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My mom was an avid pickleball player in Palm Desert. While visiting she took me along and I learned to play. Our family started playing together every Sunday and my sister became an addict!

I noticed right away that everyone had adorable clothing, but people were using old grocery bags, cruise bags, and their huge tennis bags. Water bottles were rolling everywhere and no one could find their keys after the game. I started looking for fashionable, functional bags and the combination was just not available. I knew pretty quickly what I needed to do.

Design a bag! Being an entrepreneur has been an exhausting, exhilarating, rewarding ride. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and keeping up is a challenge. 36.5M people played pickleball in 2022!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
What is a smooth road? I think as an entrepreneur there are always bumps in the road and sometimes roadblocks!

The struggle is learning as you go. Learning how to do all the things you do on your own with a start-up. Don’t get me wrong, I would not change it for anything. I earned my MBA at my computer at midnight or 4 am. The true struggle is just keeping up with an industry that is growing at an amazing rate.

It is so important to have support, not only at home but in the industry. There is a lot of group effort that goes on behind the scenes in the pickleball industry and I feel grateful to have that.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The thing I am most proud of is how far Georgie & Lou has come. We are truly starting to establish a following and name recognition. I am proud of the connections and support I have received and given to others in the industry.

What sets us apart from others is our product. We make a high-end fashionable bag that is beautiful. Our bags have all solid metal hardware, and luxurious fabrics and I am constantly coming up with a better bag that meets the needs of pickleball players. WOMEN’S HEALTH MAGAZINE named us The #1 Pickleball Bag!

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
