Today we’d like to introduce you to Mars Brown.
Hi Mars, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
When I started my spiritual journey it was a bit lonely and different.
Half of the battle was obtaining the knowledge needed and the other half found the tools needed. It was a bit before the explosion of interest and resurgence of an almost abandoned history. I felt there was a need for a place to come to get started on your path with the knowledge to set you up, the tools needed, and most importantly a community.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing worth doing works smoothly and it sometimes seems as if the universe wants to know just how badly you want something. We’ve most certainly seen our share of troubles and disappointments, like having to relaunch after a major sale wiped out our original site.
But the beauty of being new is it only happens once. We’re back and more than ready for the next wave of love.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My time is spent balancing creative energy and healing energy. There are paintings available to sell as well as holistic items which are created with healing in mind.
Classically trained in Media Production, every aspect of running this business feels like art. Every design on a clothing item candle, or website, is created by me as well as my paintings which are my joy. The proudest creation is yet to come and that is an artist platform for others to enjoy as well.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Almanacs are my best friend. They help with so much as far as planting times, when to do what kind of work, etc.
Whenever I’m looking to spark creative inspiration novels and poetry do it every time. Amiri Baraka and Zora Neale are. My biggest inspiration for all my art. Any documentaries on black art in any respect make the cut as well.
