Check Out McCoy Busick’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to McCoy Busick.

Hi McCoy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Of course, and thank you so much for having me! I was born in the Los Angeles area, and ended up moving to Colorado about 12 years ago. Since I could remember, I’ve always had an interest in fashion, art, entertainment, and expressing myself in general through these forms. Once I had gotten older, I decided to dabble in the modeling/acting field! Within about a year, I’ve had both acting and modeling experience and decided that it’s what I want to do for my lifelong career. I love the feeling of acting and modeling and being able to inspire people, while still being myself and proving you can succeed no matter where you come from in life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s definitely been some ups and downs through my career so far. Whether it’s when you become your own harshest critic, having to face adversity from outside forces, or times where it’s felt like people don’t believe in you or support you, being able to remind yourself that it’ll all work out in the end and trying to turn those negatives into positives has worked wonders.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Of course! Well in short, I’m an actor and model! I plan to do film/tv and love doing runway and photography work. My career is just beginning so I wouldn’t say I’m “known” for anything, at least not yet!! With that being said, I’m most excited with my performance as a lead in an upcoming feature length film, as well as being able to learn proper acting/modeling techniques and apply them to my craft! If I had to say, my ability to take advice/criticism and apply it to myself, learn from others, and even support and encourage others, sets me apart. Being able to be a nice caring person whether you’re around A-List celebrities or someone just starting out in their career is something I try to hold myself to always, and is a positive narrative I hope to implement into the industry as well.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Within 5 years, I hope to continue learning and exploring my technique and craft, building up others and making genuine friends and connections along the way. Within 10 years, I hope to have made a positive lasting impression in the industry. One of my end goals with my career is to be able to inspire and lift up others and make positive changes in the industry, and prove that you can be yourself and still be successful with whatever you want to do in life, regardless of where you start out and come from.
