Check Out Melissa Taylor’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Taylor.

Melissa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am 25 years old. I have so many jobs in the past couple of years and I have been looking for a full-time career for quite some time. A huge part of finding the right career path is adjusting to the way the world is moving. The technology is advancing and experience for your full-time career is vitally important now. I was on every job site out there and I came across an opportunity with Archer Travel. They explained the job would require you obtaining clients but mainly you would be able to have the freedom and flexibility to work from anywhere in the world and make money. That sounded like the best idea in the whole world to me! I submitted my application, went through the orientation and past the test to be certified as a professional travel agent. I ordered by business cards, posted a few things on social media and I have never felt more in control of my life. Unfortunately, during this process I lost my full-time job due to the company letting a specific section go because they couldn’t afford it. I am still struggling and hoping to find peace of mind until I have enough clients to make the travel agency my full-time job.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles has been the fact that I lost my full-time job. You have to get clients in order to have a substantial travel agency business and I am still very new to this process.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have been through housekeeping to food service, from processing claims to verifying insurance and now working with Uber Eats. I just want a full-time career and I am so happy I found the Archer Travel company. I am hard-working, self-motivating, I learn fast, I am ambitious, I am kind and I love to exceed expectations.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Strong communication, kindness and respect, strong determination and a willingness to learn.
