Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Harris.

Hi Morgan , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I first picked up a camera after becoming a mom, simply wanting to document my own kids and the everyday moments that felt too special to forget. What started as a personal way to preserve our memories slowly and unexpectedly grew into something more as friends and family began asking me to photograph their families too. Over time, that passion turned into a business. I’m now a mom of three, and that season of life continues to shape the way I approach photography. I know how quickly the little moments pass, and I feel incredibly honored to help other families freeze time and hold onto the stage they’re in.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to learn as I go, from figuring out the technical side of photography to navigating the business side of things like pricing, marketing, and building confidence in my work. Balancing motherhood and a growing business has also been one of the biggest challenges. There have been seasons where I felt stretched thin, trying to be fully present for my kids while also showing up well for my clients. Self-doubt has crept in at times too, especially in the beginning, but each session, each family I’ve worked with, and each year in business has helped me grow. Looking back, those challenges pushed me to keep improving, trust the process, and build something that feels both meaningful and sustainable for my family and my clients.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in family, newborn, and high school senior portraits, capturing meaningful milestones and the seasons in between. More than anything, I focus on creating images that feel natural and connected, whether it’s documenting a growing family, a brand new baby, or a senior getting ready to step into the next chapter of life.

What I’m most known for, and what I’m most proud of, is the connection I build with my clients. Many families come back year after year, and getting to watch their kids grow and be invited back to document each new season is incredibly special to me. I work hard to make people feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera, because that’s when the most genuine moments happen.

I truly care about the people I photograph, and I think that shows in both the experience I provide and the images I deliver. Building real relationships with my clients, creating a relaxed environment, and capturing authentic connection is what sets me apart.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that photography, and my style, is always evolving. I’ve realized I don’t have to have everything figured out, because growth is part of the journey. Each season helps refine my work and build my confidence.
