Today we’d like to introduce you to Quiana Jones.
Hi Quiana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
How did I get started? After graduating high school in 2019, I took a gap year to do an esthetics program at Pickens Tech. After completing the program and getting my license I started working at Amazing Lash studio where I fell in love with doing lashes and from there, I took off doing lashes. I started making skincare products during the middle of covid after I realized how deprived my skin was during covid. I wanted to make something that was good for my skin while still having connections to my heritage. While researching different things that I could incorporate into my skincare I stumbled upon Wasit Beads. I fell in love with the idea of representing sensuality, femininity, and as another symbol of beauty. After
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, especially with me starting during covid. It was getting my name out to people. I think that another struggle that I have is knowing that owning a business isn’t always easy and you can’t make everyone happy. I always love to see people following in love with what they buy especially when it’s something that comes to their skin (hints on why I became an esthetician), It always breaks my heart a little bit when people don’t love my products or services as much as I do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do a lot of things that don’t always go together. For starters, I do Lash Extensions and Body Waxing at Kase Beauty and I handmake waist beads as well as all-natural skincare. Although I’m known for being the Key part of Keyjay LLC, I’m slowly making a name for myself with my babies Madam Butterfly and Nahla Events. I am proud of both of my babies as they continue to grow and help bring the community back into Colorado.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
For me, I need to stay confident in what I do. Everything that I put out I put my best foot forward. I put out want I would want to buy/support.
