Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Mains.

Rachel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My career started in television on the production crew at a local station in Denver. From there I went to work as a floor director in TV news and I produced a local community show there, AM Sunday. From there, I went to the radio. While on the radio, I established my radio show: Corner Cafe: Sharing the Story and Heart of an Artist.

We interview musicians and entertainers. We talk about their artistry and their faith. I am also a talent for Big Fish Talent (in Denver) where I do on-camera, print, and voice-over work. I started my business as an executive assistant. It grew into communications assistance. And, today it has grown to media communications consultation.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur has not been an easy road. I have made a lot of sacrifices. It requires a lot of work and stick-to-itiveness. The challenge is to keep the steady path and keep doing hard work, even before you see “the seed” sprout. However, it’s worth it once you see how you’ve been able to help other people and make a positive difference in others and your community.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I think what sets me apart as a media communications consultant is my experience in media. Since I’ve worked in TV, radio, and cable TV (and I am a talent for a local talent agency), I’ve got a unique perspective when it comes to online media communications.

In addition, I truly mold my client’s needs and wants, when I work with them. I desire for them to be at ease with their online communications and I want them to enjoy the entire process.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My faith matters most to me. This is why my radio show, Corner Cafe, is a true joy to me. We share the story and heart of an artist (musicians and entertainers) on the show. I enjoy the fellowship we have, as we talk about our faith.

I also love the variety of people we have on the show. We feature people of every age, race, Christian denomination, etc. It’s beautiful to see how God created everyone so uniquely and gave everyone diverse talents and gifts.
