Check Out Randy Boo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Boo.

Hi Randy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My father was the inspiration behind my dreams in the entertainment industry. Watching my dad act in the Philippines on TV shows inspired me to follow his footsteps. As I became a child actor in some of his movies. But then having to move to the US, my father had to give up his acting career. From there, I’ve dedicated my life to continue my dad’s dreams here in America. My journey started from getting casted in a modeling gig in a calendar. That eventually became the door to many more success in the entertainment industry. Then I became a dancer at clubs and events all over Los Angeles, to becoming an actor in commercials, short films, and Movies. Meanwhile, I knew in my heart that Music is my passion. Eventually got casted to be a member of a boyband that performed all over Southern California. Having that experience taught me how to be an independent artist. Now I produce, write and sing on tracks all on my own.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like every goal and dream, there will be challenges along the way. Of course, there are times where I was rejected from auditions, or something goes wrong on set, or times when I felt like giving up. But now, I clearly understand that those mishaps were meant to happen for me to become who I am now. The number 1 lesson I’ve learned is to not give up. No matter how hard or how embarrassing the situation, you must keep pushing forward to your goal.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a musician. I produce original music, write lyrics, sing/rap and dance. I am proud of having opportunities to open for a few major celebrities. I’ve opened for Jussie Smollet, Todrick Hall and two major Filipino singers. What sets me aside from others is that I do everything in my music. From producing the music and writing lyrics, I am also responsible for filming the video and editing them myself. I am a one-man production.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see my music being played in movies and radios and people’s smartphones. In the future, I see my music inspiring to chase their dreams. I also see a few Grammys in the next 5-10 years.
