Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Canady
Hi Sasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I never set out to create a co-working space—I set out to create a movement. HERHAUS was born from my own need for connection, collaboration, and a space where women in business could truly support each other. My journey started long before HERHAUS was even an idea. After college, I had to leave my hometown behind to heal from a toxic family environment. That experience shaped so much of who I am today—learning that sometimes, you have to walk away before you even know where you’re headed.
As I built my own coaching and consulting business, I realized how isolating entrepreneurship could be. Women were craving spaces where they didn’t just network but belonged—where they could be seen, supported, and surrounded by others who got it.
I was inspired by my family’s Lakehaus in Wisconsin, a space hand-built by my grandparents to keep my family connected for generations. If it weren’t for that physical gathering space I knew I wouldn’t see the people I love most nearly enough.
I knew I wanted to create that same energy for women entrepreneurs—a sanctuary where business and sisterhood could thrive together. And that’s how HERHAUS came to life.
Now, over a year in, HERHAUS has grown beyond just a co-working space. It’s a hub for transformation, empowerment, and deep connections. Women have built businesses here, found lifelong friendships, and rediscovered their purpose. And this is just the beginning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting HERHAUS was deeply personal, but that also meant navigating a lot of emotional and financial challenges.
First, brick n mortar spaces have high overhead, and I had to figure out how to make it sustainable without sacrificing the heart of the community I wanted to build. Then, there was the reality of stepping into a visionary & leadership role in a way I hadn’t before—not just as a business coach but as a community builder, holding massive space for all these women & their big dreams.
One of the biggest transitions came when my business partner decided to close her side of the studio so she could focus more on her family. I didn’t think I could hold something so massive on my own…
But the fire inside of me continued to grow and I knew I HAD to. It was an adjustment, but ultimately, it allowed me to fully step into my own vision and has left me feeling more lit up and aligned than ever before.
Through all of it, I’ve learned that entrepreneurship is never just about the business—it’s about the becoming. Every challenge has shaped me into a stronger, more aligned leader, and every obstacle has reinforced why HERHAUS exists in the first place.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help women entrepreneurs build businesses that give them more freedom, impact, and soul. My work is about so much more than strategy—it’s about alignment, expansion, and stepping into the highest version of yourself through your business. I specialize in helping women create wildly profitable, heart-centered businesses that don’t just sustain them financially but nourish them energetically. I believe wealth is a tool for liberation, and I’m here to help women claim both.
HERHAUS is one of my deepest expressions of that vision. It’s not just a co-working space; it’s a sanctuary. A space where women don’t have to do business alone. Where ideas spark, collaborations unfold, and women feel seen, supported, and deeply connected—not just to each other but to the bigger mission that called them to this path.
What sets me apart is my approach—I don’t believe in burnout disguised as ambition, or building businesses that look good on paper but feel empty in your soul. I help women create businesses that breathe—that move with their seasons, honor their energy, and allow them to build wealth in a way that feels expansive, not restrictive.
At the end of the day, I’m not just here to help women grow businesses—I’m here to help them remember who they are. To step into their power, own their magic, and create a life and business that feels like home. That’s the work I do, and it’s the greatest honor of my life.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as liberation. It’s not just about how much money you make or how many milestones you hit—it’s about how free you feel in the life and business you’ve created. Success, to me, is waking up every day knowing I’m living in full alignment with my purpose, surrounded by people who inspire and support me, and having the spaciousness to create, evolve, and be.
It’s about impact. It’s seeing the women I work with break generational cycles, claim their worth, and build businesses that not only sustain them but set them free. It’s about building wealth—not just in numbers, but in energy, in community, in the deep knowing that you are exactly where you’re meant to be.
Success isn’t a finish line; it’s a feeling. And for me, that feeling is peace, purpose, and absolute, unapologetic freedom.
